Sarah is a writer, speaker, and advocate for others. Her passions include emotional and mental health, cultivating healthy relationships with others, personal growth, leadership development, opposing injustice, and confronting the damaging impact of religion on individuals and society.

Originally a resident of Prince George's County Maryland, Sarah now lives in Sacramento, California. After more than a decade in ministry, Sarah moved on to pursue her own personal and professional development. She now works in educational design and leadership development for a large non-profit healthcare organization. She supports and empowers leaders of all levels to be more effective in their roles, create healthy work environments for their teams, and combat burnout in themselves and others. Her educational background includes non-profit Leadership and Management, Business Organizational Leadership, and Change Management.

Sarah is a happy introvert who enjoys quality time with her family, friends, and husband, Karamoko. She inherited her curiosity and love of reading from her mother. Those who know her well must often endure her 'googling' random information or fact-checking herself and others mid-conversation. "Where did horses originate" was a recent query. Sarah values objective facts -- they don't need you to believe in them to be true -- as well as understanding the multifaceted lenses through which others perceive and understand the world around them.
